This article, Is Real Educational Reform Possible? If So, How?, by Peter Gray, PhD, was published in Psychology Today and referenced on Facebook. It was written in 2011, and argues basically that real educational reform is not possible within the traditional educational system. It is a long article, very supportive of homeschooling, maybe more unschooling, and makes some very powerful points.
I think his arguments have a lot of merit. He even offers suggestions as to how reform might actually take place. He suggests that each time someone pulls their child out of the traditional education framework, alternatives became less outrageous and more appealing. Educational outcomes from this pandemic may lead schooling in new directions. (This is not a short article) Maybe in the directions he suggests.
